Chagres Park is Wild.
This is a place where the natural world reigns supreme and man is just a visitor. Although only about 30 miles from Panama City, you feel like you are in a different world. The canopy towers overhead, the wildlife watches your every move, you feel small all of a sudden.
This trip is an amazing chance to experience rugged jungle travel at its finest. This is not a walk in the park, this is a serious hike over serious terrain. For anyone willing to test their grit on this trail, the reward is an old ranger hut lost in time to spend the night in. This is a one-of-a-kind spot and should not be missed by any rugged adventurer.
This hike is typically done over 3 days, with one day in the middle reserved for exploring around the hut.
All meals are planned/prepared by your guide. There is a small tributary to source water from next to the hut.
There are options for both tent and hammock camping available.
Camping gear and backpacks are available for rent if needed.
