There is something special about camping at Jaguar Falls. Maybe it's the sound of water cascading over ancient bedrock through the night. Perhaps its the star gazing that always seems to ensue late into the night. Could be the people and conversations that are had around a campfire up there.

Whatever it is, we want more of it, and we keep going back. This is the ideal one night camping in the backcountry experience. The hike in is easy and beautiful, the camping location already established, the shower (waterfall) works year round.

This location is owned by a good friend of ours, Henrik Flodhammer, and he has given us permission to bring guests here anytime. He purchased this land to protect the forest and the jaguar from hunters and cattle farmers. He plans to build a tiny stone hut community up there, so there is always someone up there to protect the land. We have been working along with him to start this project. So far we have two earthen camping platforms established. Next up we will build the first stone hut and then hopefully install a backcountry hot tub (Henrik's logical next step). Stay tuned for updates.
